Beam moving heads

Light source: discharge lamp versus LED

Traditional moving heads used discharge lamps (such as metal halide sources), which produce very bright, punchy output but have a limited lamp life, generate significant heat, and cannot be dimmed to zero or strobe as fast as LED sources. Modern LED moving heads run cooler, last tens of thousands of hours without lamp replacement, and offer instant strobing and full-range dimming, which is why LED has become the dominant choice for most Kenyan event and installation applications.
